my normal temp is also around 88 - 92 deg depending on my driving style. You don't see that on the normal gauge. The normal gauge is steady till it gets to hot and then jump from the middle to the right corner. I didn't have my (old style) Nanocom connected when then happened so I don't know that temperature. But the numbers you gave don't look shocking to me.
My viscous fan is always turning, I never hear any difference. Roel 1984 90 2.5 na Diesel - RR V8 (1994-2001) 1997 Camel Trophy Discovery 300TDI (2001-2009) 2005 G4 Discovery III 4.4 V8 (2008-2018) It's gone but it still hurts. 2003 90 Td5 (2009-now) |

I've had similar, checked out thoroughly, new rad, new stat x2, new pressure cap, pump checked, every water passage proved clear and clean, ended up doing the head as saw some minor cam damage while looking into it, injectors checked (because of cam damage) all rebuilt still very similar maybe lost a degree!! but still seeing temp similar to yourself. a friend has driven it and we think it may have a light remap this could possibly add a degree or two?? (I've only had it 10 months and don't use it every day) 38k miles.
I've gone through everything I can think of, it runs sweet as anything so I'm not looking any more! If yours checks out I'd be prone to monitor it. Ian |

Nothing to worry about, I've had my Nanocom 1 plugged in today mainly out of curiosity on an hour long journey. The trip out in the cooler morning with a bit of hard country road driving with some good uphill pulls the highest I got was just into the early 90's. On the way back nearly 10'C warmer and on a couple of the longer pulls I got up to 95'C, that was hanging on in 5th and pulling hard, that's what I expect to see.
You can set the "warning" perameters of the Nanocom, with the Nanocom 1 it's easier when coupled to a laptop, I don't know about the newer one, can't see it being any different. With mine I've got it set at 110'C, it's getting warm by then and when you start getting over 115'C you're starting to get towards limp mode. The guage on the dash doesn't show much of this, when you get to 110 it might move the needle a little higher, then when you get over 115 it shoots up into the red and straight into limp mode. I found this out over the years watching the Nanocom and temp guage when towing trailers up long hills in Wales with a radiator that was three parts blocked with Salisbury Plain cement in the fins |

Thanks JWL. My mind is at rest. With the Nanocom I am sure I can alter the alarm from within the box itself.
I have a new thermostat to go on as I am doing the coolant as well, so seems a good time to do it. (plus flushing the rad out at the matrix for good measure) I did toy with changing the water pump as well....but not sure. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

I would worry at all. It looks good to me. My radiator isn't very clean either Roel
