France 2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 DCPU Corris Grey
Robbens' Prospector Tent
Anyone got one of these? Love it's retro looks, shape and size, much more safari/exped than all the current dome tents. And given I am keeping the DC with cleaner 'non-overland' lines, (no racks etc), I'm not looking at a roof tent so this looks like a good alternative. Not cheap, certainly with the bits added (internal divider, stove, porch etc), but it's got great reviews and looks like a lovely bit of kit. Appreciate it's not a pop-up/pop-down tent for quick overnighters (I'd use just a poncho anyway), but to make a base for a few days with Mrs Gren I think it looks very civilised. I could even hang a map board and brief Mrs Gren using a Brecon Pointer, before taking her out on maneuvers (fnarr fnarr). Whistle

I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list.....

England 2016 Defender 130 Puma 2.4 HCPU Stornoway Grey
I've not used one but they seem to have done a great job with the design and extras, I really like it.

My only comment is that the frame system looks to be a two person job and is an old fashioned approach. I could see it being very noisy in windy conditions.

Good luck keeping the coloured tape on the poles after a couple of run outs.

You get more for your money with this one, but it's a monster!

United Kingdom 2015 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Montalcino Red
Got to agree with Sticky. First glance I thought it was a civviy take on the 9x9/12x12 but it's missing the joining bars at the eaves and ridge taking some of the weight out but also strength.

I reckon it would be a PITA to put up, although happy to be proven otherwise.

That said I like the concept of it. 2007 - Stornoway Grey 90 XS SW - Gone
