Someone fitted it to my TD5 90 before i bought it, but when they changed to the discovery ratios it no longer worked other than in 4th gear!

Be aware as I am not aware of a fix!?

so if you used D2 ecu then it should be programmed for the higher TB?

Yes in theory that would work, but ive not been able to get a discovery ECU to work on a defender yet. You can change the drive gear for the speedo in the transfer box to fool the ECU into thinking that the vehicle is going slower that it is but then your speedo is reading way under what it should and the mileage would be low too. Think its about 15% low.

The only true fix would be to see if somebody like Pete from BAS can make a map that would accept the disco transfer box and allow the cruise to work too. But ive been told its not something that can be does easily.

Pete.

We solved this problem times ago. We built an adjustable electronic device which is soldered into the cable to the ECU whih provides the speed pulses. The speedo will remain untouched and the ECU gets different signals so the CC works with D2 transfer boxes as well. WANTED:

SII or SIII in max 1.5k

To be honest, the device is a frequenzy divider, multipler.

It changes any input signal to different output signals.

So it can change speedo signals as well as revs or any other pulse.

We use it with Td5 and Pumas with extreme tire sizes to the correct speedo settings. WANTED:

SII or SIII in max 1.5k

Hi Zinke

Not sure if I alread sent you a pm this morning, but I was wondering if you are still doing the cruise control kits for the TD5, mine is an 06 with standard tyres and transfer box so should be OK

Do you crimp the terminal connections for plugging into the ECU connector?

I am seriously toying with the idea.
