I still think if we get a van I need to change my set up to a proper dixon bate, that way I can get a additional slider for the nato hitch.

My first thought was to hitch up with the door open too - but in my case I couldn't close it again past the jockey wheel winder. The 'A' frame on these Bailey's is very short (some would say 'compact').Removable handle sorted all the issues.I'm using the lowest set of mount holes.

We tow Bailey Ranger 460/2 GT65 with DB with the slider set to the lowest level. I have to hitch with the door open then close it after applying the stabiliser but have never had a problem with it fouling on the handbrake or the jockey wheel provided you shut the door before raising the jockey wheel to the travel position.
