Martin,
Do you still offer those in the shop? I cannot find them. I mean the one in below thread. http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic20342.html?highlight=ctek Thanks, Eric You never actually own a Defender. Quite easy to make one yourself if Martin does not sell it anymore.

Yes, but the one by Martin is very nicely finished with a built in added fuse. Just a very nice finish for a good price, so would like to buy one of these again. Let's see what Martin says.
Martin, if you would not produce these anymore, but if you still would have one or two lying around somewhere, I'll take it/both of them. Eric You never actually own a Defender. Hi Eric,
Yes I will be doing these again, I just need some time to build up stock as doing them "to order" isn't time efficient ![]() Martin ![]() ![]() |

The standard 7 pin socket (12N) has no permanent live connection to the battery. So of no use. Only the additional 7 pin (12S) caravan socket has such permanent live connection to the battery and thus can be used for a Ctek charger.

Or the 13 pin towing socket.
You could connect the Ctec to the permanent live behind the right hand rear speaker. |

Not very practical, no? You would have to remove the interior trim first which not something you want to do all too often, and then still fabricate a connector for the Ctek charger to that purple live wire. And then that only works for the Puma 2.4 upto a certain model year, later model years and all Puma 2.2 do not have that purple wire in that location anymore. Martin's solution with the Ctek adapter for the 12S and for the 13 pin sockets is just perfect, easy-peasy. ![]() As Martin said, they are back in the store now. Just ordered one as a spare. Arrived today in the post. Thanks for the note with the explanation of the small design change, Martin. ![]() And another good thing is that the envelope carried the green sticker from Swiss customs which reads "Abgabefrei". ![]() Eric You never actually own a Defender. I've just added a cigar lighter socket plugged permanently into that connector behind the speaker. So i could just plug a charger into that. It wouldn't be hard to mount any kind of socket you want on the trim. But anyway it was just an alternative suggestion. |

I use a Ctek adapter on the dash for the Defender as I don't have a 12S socket.
It also gives you an indication of battery charge and you can run a cable out through the bottom corners of the doors. I do have one of Martin's adapters for the Disco and it's a great bit of kit. ![]() Click image to enlarge Defender Td5 Commercial 2002 Range Rover L322 TDV8 Westminster 2012 Discovery 4 SDV6 Landmark 2016 |
