western vintage cider.......from Aldi? - very nice
thanks for the info. If I turn the a/c button on I can hear the relay kicking in/out and the fan turn onto speed one (with the fan speed slider being in 'off' position which I believe is normal). suggests to me the control side of things is ok but the compressor isn't kicking in? EOS many thanks for; Check... Relay R181. Does it close when you press the AC button? If Yes - It is a compressor/clutch problem. so compressor / clutch problem. where can I start in terms of trying to resolve? |

many thanks for this. is there any documents that explain what the various relays are for. having looked at the wiring diagram above it would appear the compressor / clutch relies on 2 replays (R117 and R181) - but where are they? |

thanks Dorsetsmith but I'm stumped.....
I tested some of the relays and swapped numerous overall - all relays seem to be fine. No fuses blown for love n money can I find a 12V at the compressor? I've been disconnecting the two pin plug which is approx. half way between the compressor and injector / head cover. One of the wires being green / yellow. I've tried with engine running and just ignition on nothing at all. I did wonder if perhaps I'm not finding a suitable earth point but certainly everything I've shows nothing (I'd have at least expected to have seen something if the earth wasn't great? stumped |

work your way down cct with multimeter and test wiring and components, sounds like you open cct in the wiring test one two ways
1. test with multimeter cct live 2. test with multimeter point to point con check also rid temp 12v DC test the compresses |

/\ how do I test '1' with a multimeter? I've no idea where the switch / sensor would be for confirming there's pressure in the system?
many thanks, |

sorry Dorsetsmith if this is obvious and I'm missing the point.
I know how to use the multimeter (thanks all the same for the link) but I'm not sure where I need to do the testing. I'll have another look at the diagrams but so far there's nothing getting to the compressor clutch but I've got a feed at the relay. So I'm guessing I need to find the wires leading to the pressure sensor and bell them out, find the wires leading to the temp sensor and bell them out and see which is open circuit.? |
