Hi I need a new clutch in my td5 90 it has larger intercooler, Griffen sports exhaust and egr blank. At some point will get remapped aswell. What are your thoughts on fitting the clutch and dmf in the link above? Will it handle power upgrade well? Thanks in advance Andy Last edited by Oakseywick on 3rd Jul 2017 12:22pm. Standard Valeo kit should do the job.

I'd speak to Ben Williams at Clutchfix, see what he recommends? James

Hi James I did speak with him and he recommended there heavy duty clutch and solid mass flywheel kit which was around £700. After reading on here about effects of solid mass flywheels I am being put of a SMF and would prefer the smother dmf, not sure if the Clutchfix HD1 clutch and Valeo dmf is a better option or just go for complete valeo kit.

That is quite a cost difference! Hopefully, some people might be able to provide you with some more educated advice! James

Did you find the HD1 dmf setup heavier than the standard as banks said? |

Very minimal difference
One friend has a red booster fitted so there was no difference from std I would stick with the dmf over a solid fly tbh they can be noisy and rattle. Speak to Ben Williams and mention Land Rover legends on Facebook and I'm sure he will sort you a bit of discount as he has for me 😊👍😊👍 2008 110 2.4 XS Utility (Hagrid) 2002 90 TD5 Hardtop (Sully) Sold 1998 300TDi D1 (Billy) Sold |
