All the dealer has done so far is a 24k service, not touched the 'issues' yet, however now there are less issues. Thumbs Up 130's have feeling's as well you know Smile

I thought that this kind of props were only usefull if we had a lifted supension...

What is the advantage of having one of these ? ... besides ending the vibrations ? Regards
Joao

^^^ I agree, i've got an equippe one here (off of my old 30Tdi), going to cut & shut it to fit the project90-3 (Td5).

It made the world of difference to vibrations, and is a well made bit of kit.

Is the DC joint on your new prop fully greasable and servicable? I am sure that the UJs are greasable, but is there a nipple for the centre bearing?

The DC joint on the Disco 2 is reckoned to be a notorious weak spot and if it fails catastophically can do £££ of damage to the car. I rebuilt a spare shaft with components from the States to provice larger UJs and full serviceability ready to fit to my Disco 2 but actually haven't yet had to fit it, and my original has done 200k miles. My Disco is a TD5 however, and I think the root cause of the reported propshaft failures is that on the V8 version the grease bakes out of the joints. I still think it was barmy to supply propshafts with "sealed for life" UJs though (but at the same time LR was building cars with no centre diff, so clearly the firm was going through a bad spell).

On a Puma the propshaft is that bit nearer the exhaust (and if you haven't removed it) the cat, and I wonder if there may be a similar problem.

I have a toyota high angle CV jointed and it is a sweat. Fully greasable including the "hidden" central bearing.

Make sure you get a proper angle alignment between the diff flange and front end of the propshaft (ie. 0-3º max). Puma 110" SW
