DPD Delivery
How utterly incompetent are these delivery drivers that they cant find ad address at a postcode on three occasions when it is only down the end of a track - the postcode covers nowhere else.

So today having asked for it to be delivered again I received an email with calling car number saying no one in to sign and a photograph of some houses nowhere near the address .

So I try ringing the customer diservices number and just get automated male voice asking for parcel number , you type it in then he thanks me for calling and cuts of !!!!! Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

In my case the driver dropped it off at the wrong address, Faked my signature with a squiggle and then posted on line that it was delivered. Thanks to the honesty of the householder who delivered it to me.
My complaint to the couriers office was met with complete disinterest as I was told that it was my address that was the proble

I live opposite a village petrol station. I watched a dpd van pull up fiddle around in the cab and then drive off. I got an email seconds later on my phone say the address could not be found. (The house name is on a large stone above the door, unmissable)
I jumped in the car and chased him down beeping and flashing and eventually managed to overtake him and stop him. I am only a small bloke but my annoyance must have been obvious and the private plate with my name on might have triggered an ounce of recognition of what he had just done. I got my parcel and he didn't or maybe couldn't say a word.
Stupid beyond stupid

We must be lucky, our DPD driver - Mohamed, is superb!

If there is something that must have a signature he will even return here on his way back to depot to drop it off.

He knows us all on first name terms, almost like the local postie, who is great also Razz

I had an issue with my local DPD depot, I called there to collect my parcel and they told my the consignment hasn't been collected from the sender, to which I replied why have got this missed delivery card and arranged to pick the parcel up on line? Round here DPD and MyHermes are both excellent. Most others are fairly hopeless, especially UPS. Citylink was undoubtedly the worst but mercifully went bust, UPS seems to have taken over Citylink's mantle of utter uselessness.

I have just had a package delivered by UPS from the watch company Fossil and on opening the package ( that was damaged )
guess what , no watch inside.

I reported it to the police through Hampshire constabulary's on-line portal and the response is take it up with the parcel company. Sort of expected that.

Anyway Fossil are re-sending the watch and they are raising a complaint with UPS.

It does however mean that the systems in place with these delivery companies are simply not robust enough if someone in the chain is confidant that they won't get caught with what is a blatant theft. HR064 Hampshire and Berkshire 4x4 Response

I too have great service from Ariel, our local DPD driver. Whenever I order something online and the message comes through saying DPD will deliver it I breathe a sigh of relief. Myhermes have also always been good, UPS utter w#nk on the other hand...!

My experience of DPD has been very impressive!. Communication was fantastic, live online map showing where the delivery man was. They even tell you his name and give you a photo of him. Very very impressive company in my opinion, but I guess things do and can go wrong even for the best.

They had some tyres to deliver to me. They kept changing the delivery day to tomorrow 'at customer's request', except I hadn't requested it at all. Took a week 'til I finally got them.

So much seems to depend upon the local office. We get 2 or 3 courier deliveries per day.
DPD great, Parcelforce too. UPS would be great if their shiny website worked more frequently.
Our local MyHermes driver is superb, but I understand that nationally they can be very mixed.

Don't get me started on FedEx - why leave 2 cases of wine on the doorstep in the pouring rain when it's clearly marked as needing to be left in the shed? Even for regular stuff, he just drops and runs.
