Interior light wiring
Hopefully someone can help me out as I'm struggling a bit. My girlfriend has a 1997 tdi and I'm trying to wire in some warm white leds in the footwell so they come on when you open the door, but also if you switch the interior light to "on". I know it's a switched earth rather than live. I read somewhere that you have to solder to the back of the light switch itself and run wires down the lining n a-pillar but I'm not sure exactly what to solder n where. If someone could shed some "light" Whistle on this, I'd be appreciative.

Oh so it's just either side of the bulb basically, as simple as that. Thank you

Yes, this way you will mimic the interior lighting system inc switching. Just be sure to identify polarity. 👍🏻 $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R
