Thank you gentlemen
Last night my reverse camera arrived from eBay. With thanks to Stacey007's thread it was a simple install. I just need to hook the wire up to my headunit which I can do now I have a set of removal keys ! Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Also have another DRL fail, this one must be only 3 weeks old at the most and it hasn't been used for some of that time. I'd change the bumper but I'm reluctant due to having had it painted. I've ordered another pair, they have a two year warranty, maybe I've been unlucky? I'll swap out the failed one and have a spare, if (when) the next one fails I'll have a bad pair to send back for refund / exchange. In the mean time I'm looking at other drls which fit in the aperture, if anyone knows of any please let me know! Spent a bit more time today, running out of parts to fit
Interior side trims fitted and a blind (yes, from IKEA ) mounted to the bulkhead to cover the rear load space if I have left stuff in the load area I can pull it over and unless looking right in the window you don't even notice! A bit cheesy but actually quite effective. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge I then hooked up my reverse camera and trigger wire. Very useful tool already! I then gave the interior a quick over due clean and took a couple of snaps. Dare I say it i think the interior is pretty much there Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge My 90 Project : http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic52774.html |

Not a huge amount going on but a few little jobs.
A new rear diff pinion seal as it was leaking. Specifically noticeable when towing, the leading edge of my trailer covered in splatters of diff oil! Now seems good! I've had another 2 LED Drl fail. Britpart and paddock have been great about replacing them but I now have 6 spare in the garage ready for when the next fails so I can see this getting tedious. A better solution is needed! Next up after never really being delighted with the wheel position when fitting the exmoor trim boss and snap off kit, I was actually quite pleased they issued a recall notice for the snap off kits. Beware anyone using them, give exmoor a call! So I've removed the exmoor kit and replaced with a rather lovely Optimil all in one. The wheel is in a far more natural position now. And optimill seem like excellent people to deal with Finally, a paid of new door seals (bearmach) fitted, seem good quality. Oh and I almost forgot, a couple more layers of security for my own piece of mind. Still enjoying ownership Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge My 90 Project : http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic52774.html |

Looking fantastic there! where did you get the rear interior panels? those look very neat. I would rather have pre cut items rather than ones you have to cut out. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

why thank you Pickles, very kind
Procta, the side trims are available from two places; Masai and an independent seller on ebay selling them too, for about half the price....I am lead to believe they are exactly the same item, sourced from the same supplier! My 90 Project : http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic52774.html |

Did you have to cut the window section out of the interior panels? Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

all quiet on the defender front at the moment. A recent change of direction with my racing car and a load of building work at home has meant no time or funds to play with the defender
I'd like to fit cruise control, I've got my eye on the one from TMD, just waiting for them to have a "sale" Also recently insured my truck with Adrian Flux, they were very good and agreed value at £25k too for piece of mind. obligatory picture with new race car Click image to enlarge My 90 Project : http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic52774.html Last edited by meeerrrk on 24th Oct 2017 10:00am.
