If its just for the rear tub then it's okay but bear in mind it goes off quite quickly and becomes sticky, its easy to touch up later if you miss bits though 1993 200 Tdi 90 CSW

I have some on order just waiting for delivery. I'm going to roller/brush but only inside of a trailer so finish not critical. I'll let you know how it goes but it might be a few weeks before it gets done! James

OK thanks both
Kit, how long does it stay sticky for And the Base of the rear tub does it need sanding down and a spray of etch primer before I roll the Raptor on or do I just roll it straight onto the normal metal floor |

I've used this but with a cheap shutz gun on a small cheap compressor (from Aldi)
The finish is spot on and the paint is good. I've not rollered but consider the modest investment to get a consistent good finish. David. |

Depends on how warm the day is but you've got about 2 or 3 mins before it will start to become an issue, I think this product is more designed to be sprayed if i'm honest.... I would follow Blancs advice if you want a really nice good finish (it'll still be okay with a roller though). The instructions that come with it are pretty good and answer all the questions you've asked? 1993 200 Tdi 90 CSW 1956 Series 1 Hard-top 1958 Series 1 Soft-top |

I am doing my chassis and rear tub at the moment . Its dead easy . Better finish with a Shultz gun at app 60psi than with a roller . |

You can get a little compressor from machine mart for about £100, you will need a hose/ gun too. Budget £150 at least but you do get what you pay for .
With Raptor the lower the Psi the rougher the finish / texture, a little compressor may struggle to hold a higher Psi for long periods of time. I have seen good finishes achieved with a roller, a gloss roller will give a more uniformed texture for sure. |

OK thanks guys,
I'm gonna crack on with this, I've got friends that work for a paint company so I might see if I can borrow there compressor and hose for the day, and I'll get the Raptor off flatdog and also the shultz gun, I guess that the gun attaches on to the hose and the other end of the hose attaches onto the Raptor or is that wrong... |

Hose attches to compressor - Other end of hose to gun - Raptor screws into the shutz gun pick up pipe. You may want to get a pressure valve fitted to the bottom of the gun so you can set the psi for you required texture finish .
If you watch the video I posted a link to or just search U-Pol Raptor on You tube there are heaps of tutorials. |

You will need to rub it down with a scotchbrite pad or 180 grit sanding disc , Any bare metal with need an acid etch primer on it also.

Steel needs a primer (like Buzzweld RCP), aluminium needs an etch primer. Both keyed in by scotchbrite rub down first. James

As it's a truck cab and will eventually be putting the canvas set back on, I'm probebly gonna do it b4 I put it back on, does it matter if the Raptor coating covers over the bolts etc or do I just put tape over them?
