Feel for you.
It's diabolical really. The defender could so easily have been some much more / better. |

Good luck with that... I've been waiting over 3 months for them to get back to me about warranty paint work (yes I've chased them). Maybe they're hoping it'll repair itself 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |

Its bad but as other have so not matter how much the last ones were in each variety they were no better put together than a farm special with steels and pick up back.
They leak, rust, but we sill bought / buy them Hope you get it sorted though |

Martin, do we need to give you the contact details of Amellia of LRCR on here? You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

Well I've sent them a picture below which hopefully is pretty clear. It looks to me as if moisture has worked its way in due to the poor join / split. It goes in the week after next for this and to investigate a leak from the rear of the gearbox. If it was a simple as just using the landy what would we all do with the spare time.... I'll keep you posted!

That looks pretty poor for 18 months old, do you keep her under cover? Mrs Doublea's 2013 90 had just slight bubbling at the corresponding top seam after about 2 years, but was always garaged. I think that the windscreen frame was simply repainted but I'm sure I've read on here about the frames being replaced. Standard warranty fare in any event.
Is that rust/stone chip damage below or fly splatter? Current Steeds: 2015 110 UW in Grasmere Green 2003 BMW F650 the Hack 2000 Elise 1992 Ducati 888 (no longer in bits, yahoo) 1990 TDR 250 (in bits again) 1988 TDR 250 (no longer in bits) and for sale |

6 years.I have an 11 plate which I bought in December last year, I noticed corrosion on the windscreen frame and around the alpine roof Windows after I've cleaned it a couple of times, car dealer done a good job is hiding it!! So the beginning of March I took it to local landrover dealer to be told it won't be covered as I don't have all the stamps in my book for corrosion, not happy took it to next local Dealer who took picture and sent them off to JLR and with in a week JLR had accepted responsibility, I had a new windscreen frame and window blocks and the roof sorted out all for free. Now I spray AFC 50 every where!

It's garaged and has been from new. The red marks are fly splatter!

Anti-perforation warranty is six years from new, and a check is carried out every service at a franchised dealer, the paint flaking/corrosion etc is three years from new, but outside of this JLR may make a contribution depending on several factors

What of you don't have it serviced by a franchised dealer? I'm lost as to what the benefit of the inspection is - its binary, the paint is either flaking or it isn't. This has happened in the last couple of months, so wouldn't have been spotted at the 12 month service window. It feels like more JLR nonsense!
