Question - what would you do if an emergency vehicle came up behind you when you are on a road with solid white lines and there is nowhere for you to pull off the carriageway?

I like this question, in my experience anyone that sees blue lights automatically stamps on the brakes rather than get out of the way Banging Head Friday morning I overtook about 4 cars that just stopped in the middle of a bridge rather than getting off the bridge and pulling out of the way.

Also on this subject there has been a few occasions where I've seen the ambo coming from behind and when get to me they find I'm not even on the road anymore so they've got plent of space to get passed, and they've also had the The time to give a thank you toot on their way passed Thumbs Up Russell

today. left hand lane approaching a roundabout, kept left around roundabout wanting to go straight over, approached exit, kept tucked into the left side when a white van straight lined the exit nearly taking my front off.

by the time i could even think about the horn or the light [i was braking pretty hard at the time in Censored hard rain while turning] the bar-steward was gone. Twisted Evil

where are the police when you need them.

one thing though - it gave me confidence on the BFG ATs in the wet wile braking and turning all at the same time! Bow down BM52

I just drove from the west coast of scotland down to lancashire. the number of inconsiderate morons who have no level of anticipation on the motorway is staggering. then theyre the ones stickikng two fingers up. staggering. oh, and the other total tit heads on the loch lomond road in a huge convoy at 40mph, so close to one another that you cant pass, yet none of them had any intention of passing the front vehicle.

and the best for last - on the same road, two cars in front, the rear guy driving close to the one in front. eventually he drops back, straight road, no cars coming, so i pull out to pass, get just a touch past him and what does he do? he speeds up and tries to close the gap. how utterly, utterly dick headed is that? there was a corner not far aay and I couldnt sit out there so i just had to barge in. cue blaring horns, flashing lights etc etc. I was so angry about it I slowed down and tried to get him to stop but of course, he wouldnt. utter w*&**£

bloody taxi driver, abruptly cut into my lane without indicating wanting to go right. Rozzers were behind me and they pulled me over cause I brake immediately as they were about to crash into the back of my 110, the taxi driver was caught down the road and left with a fine of 100 quid and 4 blackpoints. Plumber turned up this morning to start putting in a new bathroom at home.

Phoned him last week yes everything was in hand, goods at local plumbers merchant so he will be with us at 9.30 this morning.

9.30 come and went, no plumber! He turned up at 9.35 Razz
Talked about job, showed him where kettle and makings were, decided where waste was to be deposited, gave him a door key. Off he went to back his van. Come back in looking not very happy, in fact looking distinctly unhappy. Whats up said I.

The plumbers merchants has not got items in stock! They forgot to order it! It will be another 6 weeks before they can get it!

Now I have a unhappy Barbara, plumber is furious as he can not bring any jobs forward, so little or no work means no wages for two weeks. All because a moron can not actually order gear properly.

Somehow City Plumbing will get a big flea in their ear. The local area manager will find out that I am distinctly unhappy

Especially since on their website they say

We know in your business time really is money and that you can’t afford to wait for products

and

Our friendly specialist staff are our best asset and their knowledge and expertise will ensure you always get the right products and advise when you need it

They forget to add a little rider saying IF we remember to order it for you!

London Tube trains in the rush hour when it is really full and there is absolutley no room left on the train and you get some rude nasty bar steward who tries to push on and elbows you in the kidney to make you wince and therefore make room.

being 6'2" and 15.5 stone i just leaned back quickly just before the door closed and the person 'popped' out the door and on to the platform - that felt so gooooooooooood Twisted Evil BM52

As our road tax system has been revamped by the now defunct Green Party to be calculated on an emissions basis the road tax on a Puma station wagon will cost the princely some of €2200 (about £1919) per year. To add insult to injury the new Land Cruiser comes in at just over € 1000 per year.Don't think there have been many Puma station wagons sold since the new system came into force!Looks like I will have my current Puma for a long, long, long time! 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Local boys in blue pulled over a driver and after checking the insurance, tax disc, driving licence etc found all to be in order. A dog was asleep in the back seat of the car. "That dog got a licence?" the officer asked. "No" came the reply"he's not driving" 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

scene - narrow lane, my drive 30yrds on right, neighours drive 40 yrds on right. as i approached the neighours son start reversing out of the drive, he had already seen me.

i was in the 90 with my headlights on so no missing me! i had stopped by this time.

he then reversed out in front of me, drove forwards into my drive, reversed back quickly into the lane, went forwards blocking my drive and then does the hands in the air "well what you going to do about it" look on his face, he was expecting me to reverse down the hill about 50yrds so he could pass me.

i sat there for a moment and then moved forwards until he got the message and moved back.

he was about 18 and his daddy has bought him his 1st vehicle, would you believe it a tidy TD5 90, i still think he is a rude arrongant little git who can't drive his 90 - what a waste.

mind you both his parents are known in the area as being arrogant and very rude so no chance for their son. BM52

woman walking along pavement suddenly stepped in the road with her dog at a panda crossing without even looking or waiting for the lights.
i braked hard and a Mini very nearly hit me in the back.
it happened so fast i didn't even think about the horn and i just raised my hands [once stopped] in absolute horror. she yelled back "i have right of way you ******".

i despair Evil or Very Mad BM52
