Click image to enlarge brake and reversing lamps have switch feed and fused and feed from ignition switch so not work with the ignition key out you need check for short cct in brake and reversing lamp cct see wiring digram as the same fuse is used both As to your Battery flatting problem |

Thanks for the reply and diagram. They dont come on with key out or ignition off but i presume there's a short somewhere. I'll get it checked out

As well as the brake and reversing lights, the same circuit supplies the alternator and speed sensor.
