are you saying after putting a blank on the egr it's now ok?
was the egr dirty and therefore not able to fully shut by the software only but the remap was assuming it was fully closed. now you have a blank in place the remap is getting the right 'signals' and working correctly? |

sorry forgot something to tell...
even with the blanking plate between and the EGR out software based, the shaking is still there... we also thought it was the EGR that not closes completely. so he activates again the EGR and I'm driving now with the blanking kit and EGR unplugged but that's not the solution. It is possible that without a physical blank that the EGR could be stuck open but disabled. But there should be DTC's that should be flagged and noted first, before flashing the map. That may explain why you are having these EGR related issues. One of the many reasons a blank is always recommended just in case. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️

Also, with the EGR unplugged are you getting any MIL / amber dash light? ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️

yes i get the MIL light burning now but with OBD2 device I can erase the faults
so about the DTC's: what you are saying is, that when the ECU has some DTCs before the remap and you don't erase them initialy, they still are active after the remap and can cause this even with a blanking plate? |

Possibly, what I was meaning was before the map was loaded the ECU should be checked for DTC's and taken note of.
This would give details of any DTC's if present, if there is none present no issues. (I think DTC's should all be cleared before remapping, but don't quote me on it.) I'm not sure exactly of the full procedure, but was the EGR disabled in the map? There are functions I believe that the EGR can be left operational, EGR shut but cleaning cycle operational or as mine is completely disabled. Have you checked your general wiring of the EGR plug, MAP sensor, MAF sensor? It has been known the wiring can be chafed, cracked cable sheath or damaged. Also, EGR aside, MAF & MAP sensors could possibly need cleaning. These can have a dramatic effect on the performance. The new map may bring this on as the performance is increased all the sensors need to be in top knick and clean. That is a few ideas at least, and hopefully the tuner in question should be reputable and they should be sorting it out with you and for you. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️ |

okay, the EGR was completely disabled with the software like you advice, i also think there is something wrong with the MAP or MAF sensor. i checked the MAP... clean as new the MAF was very dirty so cleaned it but the shaking still occurs the wiring of both sensors looking good any idea about the values of the MAF sensor at idle and driving? |

I'm afraid that is a bit out of my scope of knowledge. However, there are members here which hopefully can assist you on that. VCV maybe a possibly too, but it's hard to see how. Normally it's no issue at all. With mine it was a breeze. Is there any possibility the is an error present in the map? ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️

okay, i haven't checked the VCV yet
one more thing I can say, when I start the engine with EGR out (software based) then the engine remarkable "rattles" much louder at idle and even when you drive you hear it this issue can let us explain the solution maybe? in another post you can also read that my exhaust stinks very much, even untenable when parking in garage... is this a VCV defect symptom? |

At what speeds does it do that?
mine does ti at 40 or 50mph in 6th. and it has nothing to do with the VCV. Fabio |

with mine, nothing to do with speed - the moment, the car is rolling out with gear engaged, no gaz, it starts shaking back and forth, back and forth also it rattles loud at idling when EGR is out software based. |

Ah ok then.
It is different to what mine does. If it were the same symptoms as mine i would have said that is normal... Sorry i don't know what it could be. Good luck with the repair and keep us updated. Fabio |

okay found the problem
seems that the software from the ECU had not the last updates installed normally dealers do this when going on maintenance updated to last version now and shaking is gone |
