Apparently levis 501's aren't all the rage anymore?

I'm not one for wearing these droopy half way down your leg jobs either.
So what's THE Jean of the moment - something casual / smart and not silly money?

Thumbs Up

Levi 5.11. Very similar, good fit, tight fitting but not at all skinny jeans, after wearing em a few times they bag out a big. Look good with near enough everything! Ive got em on now at work and I should have a suit on Whistle

I think the fact 511s are "slim fit" might be a clue Rolling with laughter

Ok. Time for a bit of tough love to all of you non M&S believers. There was a time when I would have rather gnawed my own leg off rather than mention that name, let alone wear their clobber. Then it hits you. There is nothing much that can be done about it. You realise that time is creeping on and they actually sell pretty good normal stuff at a reasonable price. I have been wearing their jeans for the last five to six years and they are hard wearing and very comfortable for the... ughumm.... spreading waist line.

Just remember that there is nothing on the earth that looks worse than the 'mature person' wearing designer labels. Your age personal circumstances may allow you to afford those posh labels, but that doesn't necessarily mean your are going to look cool.

Matalan jeans are quite good, also. And if you wear a jumper or shirt out (rather than tucked in), the label is obscured.

Yep. I'm ready for the abuse that I have just set myself up for Rolling with laughter

Good on you Riverboy Thumbs Up

Do they have elasticated waistbands too and I suppose if they're wide enough they also hide the fact your slippers have zips up the side?

Unfortunately the current trendsetting jeans are neither smart or cheap....

$425 is a lot of money, but at least they plaster them in fake mud so people with more money than sense look like they "work" for a living. Genius Cool
