Why don't you have a piece of toughened glass cut to the size of the frame and bond it in ?

looking for the same
The sliding glass appears to be a very vulnerable spot in a very stealable vehicle My confidence has been writing cheques that my abilities can't cash for years. |

I removed the frame completely, and made a cardboard template of the opening. Cut a piece of 4 mm glass slightly smaller from opening a bought a few meters of rubber seal.
The only thing is that some of the holes of the previous frame will not be covered by the seal, and i closed them using some black silicone. No more rattles and leakages Sorry for the poor photo Click image to enlarge |
