That is a great effort to shift that timber, it sort of creeps up on you doesn't it?!
The ballot system seems jolly harsh. I spoke to one runner who had been drawn 3 out of the last 6 years, and another who like you had waited for years. Will you carry on with the running now (not today obviously)?! |

Yes, will run but not as much. The sheer time taken to do the training was the biggest issue. Young family, work etc it's quite a commitment.
So for me I've done London, bucket list ticked (if I was going to do a Marathon it was 'The one') Ran under 4hours which was the target I'd set (I'm just not built for running so I don't want to go quicker) Had a brilliant day but I won't be back and won't run another Marathon. Cheeky half in the summer though just so I don't get lazy |

The walk afterwards to the car did me Thought I'd be able to get a taxi Blonde moment !! Tiger I said it was a 1 off, but have entered the ballot every year since......... |
