I can get a new one on Ebay for £200 but that seemed to be more than the going rate here which was circa £100 - £120.
I'm awaiting confirmation, but I read a thread earlier which suggested that not all 2.2 ECU's were suitable for my Defender as it's a late model (2016) with DSC? Cheers. 110 DCPU Mark |

Hi
Mark I understand, I have one of the several my friend bought, for my van, but I understand that there are some dodgy ones supposedly originating from the Birmingham area, but then they would wouldn't they. Ok...apparently, if they're being remapped then they should all work. I've been told to ideally go for the "FH12" version.
How technical is this! 110 DCPU Mark Last edited by m33ufo on 20th Apr 2017 9:12am. Edited 2 times in total |

CH12 denotes an early ECU, FH12 the later ones. I guess there may be DH, EH, in between. 110 DCPU

Hello Mark
It appears that my spare is a FH12 which is suitable for my 2015 model whereas my friend's spare is a Ch12 which is suitable for his 2013 model which has just come off warranty, Now, I do not know if these are interchangeable and the different prefix nos. are batch numbers or what? I bought my spare to have as a backup in case I needed to make a warranty claim after my remap, but my local dealer is telling me that a stage one remap will probably not invalidate the warranty anyway, as this stage of tune was put into place by JLR themselves on some Defender models. If I can get this confirmed, rather than just by an unofficial phone chat, you are welcome to have mine.
