I bought the Britpart one, bit of a pain to line up and fit but it works well enough, plus £120 can't really complain! Fits with the NAS Step as well.

Are the pickup carriers the same as hardtop/CSW fittings?

Your spare tire has fallen off the rim! You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

Gents stupid question, but I seem to be good at asking them ! do you use one just to take the weight off the back door, or is there another reason ?

yes, takes the weight off the back door, especially good when off-roading or holding oversized wheel/tyres
