It doesn't look like it is compatible with a NAS rear step, which was one of my stipulations? It's also far too expensive 1993 200 Tdi 90 CSW 1956 Series 1 Hard-top 1958 Series 1 Soft-top |

I've recently fitted the Safari Equipment carrier to my DCPU which has a NAS step. No issues with that at all because the lower mount is above the crossmember. Click image to enlarge More photos here: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic53303.html John |

The Naka one while while nice, is just ridiculous money. I'm sorry but £700+ is just ridiculous, Kahn levels of ridiculous.
I fitted one as I have a DCPU and a boot lid, so nowhere to fit a spare bar a swing away. The Safari one is identical to the Britpart one, probably is the same one. |

Nakatenenga does fit with a NAS rear step. True, it's expensive compared to others, but it's design and build quality are brilliant. Stainless, HUGE bearing, no drilling ANY holes to mount, fits with a NAS bumper, adjustable for wheel offset, will easily outlast the life of the truck (considering how long some Defenders can last, that's pretty impressive). Oh, and no rattle, squeak or groan from it when you drive, or open/close it.
Worth every penny. Click image to enlarge it's a Landrover thing... my renovation thread: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40792.html |

I recently bought the Masai extra heavy duty version. Persuaded by the zinc plated and power coated finish and the grease nipples on the pivots. I was assured it would fit with the rear step bumper.
However, I'm now looking to sell it on, as i bought a nakatanenga single pivot jobbie - based on the recommendations on this forum!
