1989 Defender 90 300 Tdi HT Cairns Blue
Does it have the temp sender from the Disco in it? We have a disco engine in our defender, and the temp showed higher than it was (used optical thermometer on engine).
Have a google, and I'm sure the sender and the gauge become mismatched.

All sorted now my mechanical magician fixed it at 8.0 am on Saturday (last) and all seems to be running well , touch wood.

Scary part is "I haven't had the bill yet!"
