Seems a bit harsh to me.. Shocked

Maybe he had some seized/rounded nuts on the turbo/manifold?
Even then I think that would be my last resort. 80" 80" 86" 88" 90"

Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered.

Well it made me wince a bit perhaps the guy doing this thought it less hassle.

In reality it's a few peripheral parts the manifold studs and a few gaskets, from some of the pictures I have seen people leave the turbo attached and just support it and the exhaust as one.

Yea that's what I did - only tricky bit is if any of the exhaust manifold studs don't want to come out so you have to pull the manifold off them which means you need to move the turbo out of the way quite a bit (esp if THOSE studs don't want to come off either, which given the heat they certainly didn't for me!)

The video does seem like much more work to me, but as rightly pointed out, who knows what other issues were going on...

Depending on what image you believe, some new plugs come with a sealing thread lock and some without...







If it comes without I am probably going to use a wrap of PTFE tape.
