i found it was just the spring on the back of the peddle, so a cloth behind it and some "white grease" the type that stays in foamy blobs and it was fine for 6 months, but that was my squeek, your squeek may be conpleatly different, hope this helps

Hi - I had (have) the same problem.
Part of the squeak was sorted during it's 24K mile service. They applied some sort of lubricant (smells like the oil that you use to clean rifles with) in an area that I couldn't reach. This sorted the main squeak/screetch. The annoying squeak that is very persistent is down by the pedal itself. I have used WD40, lithium grease and, more recently, silicon spray. THe silicon spray did the trick - however be sure to use a rag or something to cover the area. I used a wimpy paper towel and it soaked through and spread all over the mat. Initially I thought I had a leak in the car, as the silicon got all over the place. It sorted the secondary squeak for the most part - but it still comes back every now and then. |

Thank you for the replies. I am now squeek-less.
![]() There is easy access to all the moving parts from the engine side. Just remove 6 screws to remove a small plate and it then becomes easy to lubricate all the moving parts. If anyone requires pictures please let me know and I will take some. |

Hi ALl,
Here is a picture of the cover I removed. (See the 6 star screws) The front of the vehicle is to the bottom of the picture. Hope that makes sense, http://www.flickr.com/photos/9885024@N05/5505367266/ |
