I feel your pain on the doors. I have a later all-steel passenger one tucked away and I'm on the hunt for a matching drivers side one.
Not sure about the alloys. As far as I know, they were never offered on 200tdi's due to the rear drum brakes. Does yours still have them, as they may not fit over the drums? No problem matey
Did a bit of work on Sunday, got the tow hitch off which was about as much fun as pulling one of my own teeth out (as all tow hitches are) ready for the rear member to be raptored after i've cleaned off the underneath. Click image to enlarge This defender hasn't been bodged like allot of the older ones but she still has some surprises, a previous owner fit an incorrect 13mm on one of the hitch main anchoring points, glad I took it off now... Click image to enlarge Took the radiator shroud off to clean it up as it was starting to blister Click image to enlarge My uncle cleaned up the front bumper mounts Click image to enlarge Finished off the painting Click image to enlarge Hadn't even noticed this, bonnet will need to come off for this to be cleaned up and painted Click image to enlarge Got some replacement fog and reversing light units, really bad design trying to get these off as the rear nuts were all rusted away, so had to drill them out Click image to enlarge My dad having a go at the passenger side door Click image to enlarge Next weekend will mostly be me treating the bubbles in the paintwork |

Rock sliders arrived today, should be going to pick up some new (to me) ET0 steel modulars with 265/75/16 tyres.
Probably going to paint them white, any idea which shade I need to match my roof? |

Sorry for the lack of updates, kept forgetting to take photos
Fitted the new fog and reversing lights and they're all wired up, painted the rear cross member ready for a NAS step and a coat of raptor, also fitted the new mud flaps Click image to enlarge Bought a new LR winch bumper, i'm on the lookout for a soft a bar (nudge bar) if anyone sees one for sale Click image to enlarge Repaired the rust under the bonnet, i'll give it another coat next weekend Click image to enlarge Tools of the trade Click image to enlarge Inner doors are fixed up, need to get a new winding mechanism for the drivers side as it's worn out Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Cleaned up the current bumper and tried to straiten it... Click image to enlarge Engine bay all cleaned up Click image to enlarge Rock sliders arrived and I bought some new wheels and tyres off muddybaldboy 1993 200 Tdi 90 CSW 1956 Series 1 Hard-top 1958 Series 1 Soft-top |

Those doors do look very nice. Don't forget to fill the cavities with wax of some description! Darren
