Had to carry this Gas Gas trials motorbike. It didn't fit in the 6 liter GMS Yukon Denali. It fit in the Defender. Nice
I could still use the left 1/3 seat in the back Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge The crazy Russian |

Fitted rear sill bling from ENTREQ.
Front sills have to wait, as took me ages to get old rusted bolts off from rear - tried WD40 then unscrewing - Nope, drill bolt out - NOPE. Eventually got all angry with them. Cue chisel and ruddy great big hammer. Result - felt MUCH better, heads off rusty bolts. New stainless sills fitted. Doors now close with satisfying thunk & have done the hose test - NOTHING gets through. Just need another dry day to do the front. 2001 TD5 110 DCPU in Bonatti Grey |

Raised the cubby and slotted the sub in....much neater. Amazing what you can do with some threaded M6 bar and black steel tube!

Sunday - big surf trip with the family (2 yr old and a 1 month old plus a black lab). Brilliant surf, loads of space to change the little ones in, no fear of the evil car park clampers as our tyres are too big Oh and we got a ticket too! Saw one poor lady get clamped - it's possibly THE worst car park for it in the UK (Praa Sands, Cornwall).
All in all, a brilliant outing in the Landy - best "surfmobile" I've ever had for shortish distance surf trips. Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion. |
