Indeed! MOT peeps replaced both ARB links in Feb...Now one has gone walkies... Not sure if bolt sheared off, nut came undone and pulled the bush out... 1999 Defender TD5 110

Hmmm, doesn't often happen.
I'm sure that'd cause done squiffy handling! Although mine is okay, mine is slightly out of true on that very side as well. Have you hit any big potholes? |

I've not noticed any really odd handling, potholes...err maybe one or two, plenty of them in the forest on the last rally near Ripon, so might have been then. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |

Think of the flex you now have when playing off the blacktop.
People pay good money for disconnects Cheers, Kyle. |

Very unlikely to affect the handling apart from allowing rather more body roll. If you have a loaded roofrack (or if you drive like a nutter) you'll notice this, otherwise very little difference on-road. Off-road it will actually improve performance by allowing increased axle articulation. It is of course technically unroadworthy and an MOT test failure as photographed, but if you were to remove the ARB altogether it wouldn't be. I have never actually seen one fail quite like that before though. |

It odd how the bolt has come out, unless it snapped, sheared off or the nut has come undone.
New parts on order. 1999 Defender TD5 110 Regards John M0VAZ Econet Station 48 no clock |
