Spent a couple of hours polishing up the Entreq mud flap extension brackets yesterday! Transferred the flaps onto the new brackets and took only 10 minutes to fit! Just need a bit o' rain to see how they perform! Am hoping to be actually able to see out my side windows again in the wet! K9F, did you fit the mud flap onto the bracket using the original holes, or did you make new ones in the mud flap? The reason I ask is that with 305 tyres the holes in the brackets sit the mud flap at the correct distance to cover the width of the tyre. I remember you have bigger tyres and wheels so the brackets will not cover the whole width of the tyre.

You can see what I'm getting at with the above picture of mine with 305's fitted.

Lorryman,

I know exactly what you mean and for the time being have used original holes! Beauty is with the new fittings they can be whipped off and realigned in a jiffy! As they are now sticking out more than they were I'll 'suck it and see' and if necessary adjust accordingly! Thumbs Up
Happy with the product and they polished up really well! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Lorryman,

I think the stainless steel quality is such that it will stand up to the rigours of where they are situated! I don't think that powder coating would last too long, hence I decided a quick polish would be more suitable and resilient and I can always revisit the finish if and when it deteriorates! Despite my previous post and the fact I haven't driven it in the wet since fitnent, I have indeed had a twinge of conscience and moved the mud flaps out an extra couple of inches! If a job's worth doing.....Lorryman thanks for the heads up, all tickety boo now! Thumbs Up If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Went to the Lake district and did a few lanes. The mud flap extensions kept the front of the landy clean Whistle

To be fair, it was a bit wet and muddy. Thumbs Up

Does anyone know if Entreq has made their replacement for the rear mudflap bracket - there is a mention of it being due out in August 2010, but I cannot see anything on their site?? I would sooner buy front and rear at the same time and save on the shipping.

Fitted the Entreq stainless steel mud guard extensions today in the hope of keeping the Landy and me a bit cleaner:

Very easy to fit and come with stainless steel fixings and some copper slip.
Just a case of undoing the two mounting bolts and removing the complete mud guard, drilling out the original 3 fixing rivets on the rubber and attaching the new Entreq bracket with the supplied bolts, then its just a case of re-attaching to the landy with the new bolts Thumbs Up
