They're sitting in a box in the garage - haven't had chance to fit them yet Darren

Ok, you've guilted me into it, so between the showers today I fitted these:

Finally fixed my reverse light yesterday by fitting a new gearbox switch:
Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge A pleasantly easy job, for a change. Also made a start on my rear work light control box: Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge This wil be fixed to the off-side rear light cluster panel and, with connections to side lights, reverse light and the purple constant live, will give me either fully automatic or manual switching. There will also be a 6 way fuse box inside the cluster panel that will feed the switchable DIN socket on the control box and a supply at roof level for my orange beacons. Some of today was spent preparing various new holes in the light cluster panel and then both panels were given a fresh coat of paint: Click image to enlarge I'll finish the wiring in the week and then hopefully get it all installed next weekend. It's controlled by an on-off-on rocker switch. In auto mode, the work light will come on if reverse is selected and the side lights are on (so it won't come on in the daytime), but then it can be switched on manually from the rear when stationary. Darren

That sounds like a good plan
Can the work lights be isolated so they don't come on even in reverse at night? 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon 1990 Vogue SE Triumph Tiger Explorer 1200 Td5 90 Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50767.html Tdi 110 Thread https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic69562.html RRC Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic54492.html Instagram http://www.instagram.com/george_grafton |

Yup. The centre 'off' position will disable the light completely. Darren

That's a great setup. Have done the same with my work lights. Will also add a switch to operate it from the front

Yeah, I did consider that but decided that the benefit wasn't worth the additional complexity. I couldn't think of any situation where being able to turn it on from up front would be more useful than doing so from the rear door. Darren

On the other hand, I did buy a wireless remote that I may wire in series, so that I can turn it on from outside. Darren
