My 1989 90 with 3.5 flapper efi auto from RRC, which I have converted to soft top. Only a small v8 compared to most but it's a start!

Mine got aired the other week. I ran it up the street to get it warm and found an oil leak. So the front of the engine is currently being stripped to solve the issue!

GREENI your build thread is quality, love the understated colour. I'm envious of that new 4.6, looking to rebuild a 3.9 or similar to pop in in the future.
Think my doors let the white down as I had to guess the colour and sprayed with rattle cans! Have two new ones to go on but need a colour match first. ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge |

Correct mash that's a Dutch military/NATO series 3 lightweight. Fathers not mine! But pretty cool thing and in great shape for 1982!

Yep it's definitely the best combination! Better all year round than hard top. Auto wasn't my original choice but I don't think I'd ever change now. |

Yeah there's another one on the drive, 3.9 manual. Again not mine! Fun vehicle with great engine but been a bit neglected by previous owner/s. |

Here's my '85 Ninety V8.
I replaced the 3.5 twin carb V8 with a 3.9 Efi V8 from a '95 Discovery. It's much smoother, and a bit more powerful- but not enough power. So I have a GM 5.3 V8 that I plan to put in it. 315BHP, so it'll be quick- plus loads of torque through a 6-speed automatic transmission. Last edited by Paul K on 1st Oct 2017 12:54am.
