Well, good to see I haven't asked a totally non-sense question Could always be tried on a small area first if I decide to give it a go!
Btw, decision made on the voltmeter - VDO it is. Hence will be putting the other one up for sale at a reduced price. MY15 Aintree 110 SW - for sale - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic82781.html MY16 Santorini 90 HT - sold |

Some bits turned out well, others less so.
Double din is in along with the side panel and the voltmeter and looks nice. Voltmeter illuminates green which matches the rest of the dash nicely. And with the Alpine head unit set to green colour scheme it all works well together. I can hear a bit of a background noise that wasn't there with the old stereo - only when the engine is off and the truck is stationary of course But it's there so it does annoy me, will need to do some reading. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Two extra USB sockets are in. Very quick charging, but the light output from them when the cables are plugged in is too much! Not sure of a solution as of yet. Click image to enlarge Bosh Aero Twins are on, great wipers but look rather chunky. Click image to enlarge WIPAC LEDs now installed all around (apart from fog and reverse which are SVX), great output and I know likelyhood of ending up without indicator or stop/tail in the middle of a road trip is reduced, but I don't think I'll get used to how they look on daylight - the sparkling effect is a bit too much for me. Need to figure sth out. Looked at the Mobilecentre ones, which to me have a nicer look, but then I'm not sure about the shape. Great update there Jaro I know that the wiper's look a bit chunky but i think that for what they do far outway the chunky look and anyway i like them I'm sorry to hear that your not so keen on the Wipac version of LED's i hope you find a way round but still keep the LED upgrade 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.

Cheers Clayton, indeed, I think I'll try to fit LED bulbs to the OEM lamps, bought some from Paddocks. Will see how it works out!
Thanks Procta, very happy with the VDO gauge, looks like it was always supposed to be there. MY15 Aintree 110 SW - for sale - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic82781.html MY16 Santorini 90 HT - sold |

Definitely Clayton, will do!
Went to D44 to get some necessities and ended up buying this little fella from Bushranger, ingenious how small it is when folded. It's like a candyshop in there. Click image to enlarge MY15 Aintree 110 SW - for sale - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic82781.html MY16 Santorini 90 HT - sold |

Thank you gents. Few more bits completed this evening - leather dash parts along with the door handles. Waiting impatiently for the AB steering wheel from Phil at OEM and the cubby lid to finish it off.
