Great colour, agreed! I came close to getting a dealer ordered one with a Indus Silver roof as well... but someone beat me to it!
I presume you measured up the clearance under that concrete pillar before you placed the order! I had my dealer drive a 110 into my underground parking place just to check... I have just 3cm clearance! The first few times I drove in were clenching moments... used to it now! However... no lift kits for me! Any mods planned? Cheers, Pete YOLO... You Only Live Once... |

Lovely colour, lovely vehicle.
Aintree is a great colour, saw an Aintree 110 at our local Dealer last week, & yes Pete, it had an Indus Silver roof,.....also had the premium seats with brown inserts,...very nice. Pickles. |

Lovely looking machine!
That car park looks like the one at my old flat in London, it was a secure underground job so I miss it slightly now I have a desirable Defender at risk! |

Thank you all for lovely comments, she is my pride I have to admit.
@ apt - congrats on the colour choice, you won't be dissapointed, it's a bit understated but it plays nicely with the light and suits the truck so much. When is your 90 coming then, much longer to wait? @ Pete - I haven't actually measured it until the collection was coming, so was little nervous. Luckily she fitted in fine and I even have enough space to put a roof rack on, which is handy. @ Darcy – I did go for couple extras on top of the XS spec but nothing major – black premium seats, audio upgrade with subwoofer, carpets, dual finish alloys, privacy glass and contrast black roof. When I ordered her, I started planning a lot of mods! Then I got some advice from couple members here, and put all the budget towards security and also Chris’ (Zagato’s) corrosion prevention magic. So she will have to stay as she is for now. I do actually enjoy the plain look at the moment, so hopefully it won’t be too painful to wait for some extras. Once the budget allows, I’ll get her soundproofed and will do the 170bhp tune by BAS Also have Noldens ready to go in, but they will wait till I can do the side and back lights in LED. Have a nice rear step too, but decided to get it sandblasted and treated properly before it goes on, so will be on hold for a while. @ McGeordie – indeed it shows beautifully on daily light, in particular when the sun is out! @ bluebottle – spot on, the underground car park does put your mind at ease. @ Ken – your truck is an inspiration that is! Stunner…the sales team at Grange were totally carried away, all they talked about was how fast it is, and Mike kept telling me the first thing I must do is the Bowler tune Btw, look forward to see the Autobiography once it comes, there was one ready for collection, looked fab. |

Mine is due September (90 XS SW), so a while to go yet. I'm still happy with my colour choice but I'm not convinced about the silver grey bonnet lettering / grill / headlight surrounds to go with it. |

@ AM, Ant - thank you gents
@ Apt - I see where you're coming from, looks a tad slicker with the black surrounds. You can always order them once you have her! I'm undecided to be honest, I like the contrast of the lettering on the bonnet with the dark colour as background, but then the black grills are very nice. Good luck with the wait It's not easy, but the forum will help! |
