I seem to have posted this several times now, but no actual experience of it, it just seems the best stuff I've seen posted on FB particularly. I will at some point be doing this myself.

Click image to enlarge I rubbed mine down to shiney metal then zinc primed it and painted it with Upol satin black. Dinitrol 3125 inside of it. |

Hello,
Im.thinking of getting that dinitrol 3125, does it have to be sprayed with a gun, or is there a trigger on.the top!! I have surface rust on the rear cross member, hopefully this will stop it, and then will get some black paint!!!! |

You can get it in aerosol and with internal staws etc.on the Rejel site or via eBay. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

There is standard straws and there are internal tubing ones that are long with a 90 degree angle spray pattern that sprays 108 degrees as you draw it back through internal components. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

I sanded down the crossmember removing as much old paint / rust as possible. Used DP90 2 part epoxy primer, then topcoat of Trim Black.
So far, it's held up well. I have no doubt it won't be the last time I have to do it. re. the dinitrol, you can get it in a Shultz can and use a gun or it's available in aerosol cans with extension wands available for them. I think i used the gun on this, but the aerosols would do it too, they;re also good for when you need more control, like spraying it into a narrow crack.
TBH while i used Upol satin, any old satin black will match the factory finish, it's the prep work you do underneath that makes the difference. |

OK I have my Buzzweld kit of primer and satin, here are some pics of the member, how much prep work do i need to do on it, is it just a bit of sanding to get rid of the pitting, ie I don't need to get it back to silver with no paint on it?

According to the Buzzweld website you don't need to take it back to bare metal. However, if you have the time why not. No rust then... Ed
