Just the right thread for me,
I have a mantel snorkel and thinking of getting my defender 90 2.4 remapped

Would an extra 38bhp make much difference, also they can do it for £250 inc vat,

Is that a good price and would it be worth it

Thanks Thumbs Up

38 extra bhp on top of the standard 120/130 ish is a good jump. Ray

That is a nice difference, the only problem with a tune is that you never can feel the difference, so you get used to that in a week or so and then it is normal.
I have a powerbox and made it work only on full throttle and I can switch it on and off sperately.
The book says I can get 168 hp from my 122 hp td5, I don't belief that because I use the standard intercooler so I think I will be somewhere in the 150 ish.
If I switch it on under full accelaration it is a strong push in the back.

So Yes it makes a real difference but you will get used to that very quickly. Whistle Roel

Is it a remap of a good supplier? Like with almost everything for a Land Rover you have good parts and you have not as good parts. If you feel the weight difference between an original CV and a Britpart CV you know which one to take. With a tune it is more dificult to compare.
Check the price difference between what you have been offered and some of the sponsors here. Roel
