Pull out the switch blanks and see if you have loose connectors behind (green 5 pin).
Under the seats is there a connector mounted to the seat box, and the loom fitted to the seats? Early (99-02MY) Disco 2 seat switches are the same as but easier to find and significantly cheaper than those listed as Td5 Defender switches. I also have an 05 TD5 SV that had seats but no loom or switches, I got all i needed here
