United Kingdom 2005 Defender 110 2.5 TD SW Zambezi Silver
Heated Front Seats: Advice PLease.
My Defender is a 2005 Special Vehicles Limited Edition 110 Td5 Station Wagon.

Under both of the front seats are the leads complete with plugs for heating elements but the switches on the fascia have blanks fitted in the apertures.

How can I tell what I need to get 2 heated front seats up and running?

Obviously I'll need 2 switches but I'm wondering that if the wiring is present, as it is, could it be possible that it's just a job of connecting it all up? 2005 Defender 110 Td5 Special Vehicles Station Wagon Zambezi Silver With Black Roof And Black Wheel Arches/Eyebrows.

Pull out the switch blanks and see if you have loose connectors behind (green 5 pin).

Under the seats is there a connector mounted to the seat box, and the loom fitted to the seats?

Early (99-02MY) Disco 2 seat switches are the same as but easier to find and significantly cheaper than those listed as Td5 Defender switches. I have paid £15 a pair (used), new price is £50+VAT each.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

The Td5 switches are square not the oblong ones which are TDCi I think For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

Here's a photo of under the driver's seat. Passenger side is the same. I've pulled out the switch blanks and there's nothing hehind them.
