Looking to fit this in the back of the 110 what is the best way to wire it up?
The cigarette lighter, usb and 12v meter all have two connectors + and -, the switch has 3 connectors and is two way on / off with no lables apart from one brass connector and two chrome connectors. Please bear in mind I am a reasonable novice but want to have a go myself. Thanks in anticipation! George Click image to enlarge Adventure isn't paved! |

The + and - connections of the cigarette lighter, usb and meter speak for themselves I think, I guess the switch brass connector is to provide earth for when the switch is in the on position and the led lights up. Check polarity with multimeter. Where you take the feed from is dependend on where you want to fit it. There is a permanent live (purple) behind the speakerpanel on the right side in the back. Cheers, Vincent

As mentioned above I have two power sources permeant live and ignition live so ok with that. Just wondering if your connect all the +'s together and the -'s together and them connect them to the respective feeds. Or loop the wires + / - / + / - / + /- Found out that the switch is two chrome connectors + pos in and + out. The brass contact is for the led (I hope). Thanks for ALL the replies Adventure isn't paved! |

Depends a bit what you want to do with the panel...
One way is to take the permanent live to the swich + and from there (-) to the + of the lighter, usb and meter. Then connect the - of the lighter, usb and meter (and the brass connector of the switch) to an earth point. This way you use the switch to activate the lighter, usb and meter. And so you can use the lighter, usb and meter independ of the ignition on. There are other ways off course to do this - this is how I would do this ... In fact, I have the same panel lying in the garage waiting to be installed - this way...
