Im sorry mao99999 it was not the cold shoulder, i should of answered earler but didnt all ive done for days is answer the phone, answer pms, answer emails, trying to send the already booked mafs out. and writing a massive post in a word doc as you will see here. http://www.defender2.net/forum/post60115.html#60115
ive only got one brain and only 2 hands and can only do so much at one time, things get missed and forgotten sometimes. im sorry it got left when it should not have, I was aiming to PM you and state i was trying to give others a chance first as per my original post which is why i didnt just answer in the thread tyring to avoid filling it up with general un needed posts that just makes threads of this nature look untidy and hard to follow easly ! I genuinly didnt do it on purpose, no matter what your toughts are as to why i didnt post a reply. Re peterborough show, i dont remember speaking to you at all, it was a manic show as you will have seen we have 3 show staff and a million people asking questions all at the same time its quite hard to deal with efectivly 100% of the time. though we always do our best to speak to everyone we can. Infact i dont even remember you from your forum name at the show , please remember when i see people especially at shows i generally end us seeing 3 names. Eg forum name mao99999 Personal name Mark bla bla Email address Mark@aol.com It does get very confusing to keep a track of everyone i speak, email or talk to im sorry. Regardles of whos map you have already or where you intend to buy your next tuning from does not concern me as shown in this thread i gave K9F a maf and he does not have my tuning, i personally dont care what you do or dont have on your car at the moment, im interested in the project not the tuning you have or why you used them. So yes please if the offer still stands i would be very greatfull of your maf if you are still willing to do the swap. And as said im not perfect im sorry i didnt answer your post on time. its certainly about time peeps kept there thoughts to there selfs anyone would think were a bunch of old women there no need to slag each other off ?
we all have our own opinions on products i believe some home truths are going to come out of the work that pete is doing as some people arnt going to like what he finds ? i will fit mine when iv finished my shift so be in the next couple of days ? lets remeber that pete was the first to tune a puma so i would say that most other tuning companys have copied or use his methods ? steve 2015 2.2 tdci hardtop xs 3.2 conversion DONE 238bhp and 707nm torque and thats just the start ;-P hybrid turbo in build -done ready to fit ashcroft atb in transfer box 6 speed auto in build |

Big Steve I can understand your sentiments and despite not having a BAS Map have communicated with Pete several times and have found him very amiable and helpful even when I had incompatibility issues with my map and Land Rover software! You do say most and when you consider the likes of Autologic they have spent hundreds of thousands of pounds on software development over the years and I doubt very much that they would have to 'pillage, plagiarise, copy or steal someone elses efforts! I would most certainly have a switchable map though next time! Yes! Probably from BAS too! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Pete
As promised below is the details of my Defender. 2009 May 110XS 285 tyres Snorkle Standard air filter EGR blanking plate with 13mm hole removed last month. Has had your tune with both the EGR closure patch and the one without. 16000 miles on the clock Fuel consumption average of 22.96 since the problem began 2800 miles ago. That’s at least 5mpg down on what it was. Boy Last edited by The Boy on 28th Feb 2011 8:07am. Edited 2 times in total |
