IIRC to stop the offside rubbing you adjust the nearside bolt. Vice versa for the nearside wheel

When you put it on full lock you will see where the tyre touched the radius arm (it will look polished where it rubs).
To adjust ^^^ As Brendan says.... you will need to screw them out to reduce lock. Turn it half a turn, give it a test, turn again if needed, test again..... until it doesn't rub Failling all that. Any Tyre/ Tracking place could do it in about 5-10 mins (I am too stingy to pay for something I can easily do myself thought). Glyn |

Just to add that if you have the vehicle lifted on a jack (remember axle stands ) remember to leave at least 20mm of clearance between the tyre wall and the radius arm to take account of the tyre bulge when lowered of the jack and the vehicle weight settles on the tyres again.

I did mine with the vehicle jacked up as it was easier to check the steering lock from one lock to the other and then adjust the stop locks on each side. |

but can it be done without taking the wheels off , ive only got the bottle jack it came with so i can only do 1 wheel at a time and that would defeat the object wouldnt it ?

I did mine on the ground without a jack- it just takes a little longer. All you do is put it on full lock and check it rubs. If it does durn the wheel a tiny bit straighter and then adjust the bolt (just the one side as Brendan said L/H bolt for right lock), keep doing this till it doesn't rub. when you have sorted that turning direction out then do the same for opposite lock Glyn |

Never bothered to adjust mine , when it rubbed just back off the steering a little it won't do any damage just shine the radius arms.

Dependent on the MOT inspector it might be consider a failure/advisory as wheel is fouling bodywork. A LR friendly MOT inspector might turn a blind eye to it. Otherwise spend 10 minutes before and after the MOT and it is not a problem. Brendan |
