being paranoid a polisher, fussy etc I subconsciously go round looking for problems - or so it seems.
just had the car back after the seat brackets being replaced because the paint had gone off on holiday leaving rust behind (you get the picture) - same problem with the rear mud flaps. anyway my problem (or so I think) is that the middle row seats now seem to have a load of play in them / seem loose that I don't remember. basically if you jump in the boot and hold the top / head rest of the middle row seats you can move them back and forth (just the seat back) by about half an inch / 1 cm. I thought they were solid before. Can anyone confirm if this is normal please. thanks. |

thanks mate - I presume youre talking about the two 'platforms' the seats sit on top off?
the platform has a square rubber pad and the seat has a round rubber post and they should make contact - mine dont quite touch 1-2mm gap. however not sure if this is still the case while I'm sat on the seat cause I can't see? either way not sure this is the issue as its the seat back that has the play in it not so much the base? |

Did they treat the rust or just paint over it?
These are little jobs you could do yourself properly and have the satisfaction that you have worked on your Landy and done it right ![]() ![]() ![]() |

ij think I've found the problem (another job for the weekend).
the brackets that have been painted that the seats hinge forward on are slotted so they mounting height is adjustable. well it would appear they are circa 2-3 mm too high. I'll let you know how I get on over the weekend. |
