Did all defenders come Radios standard? The radio doesn't work at all, and it only has 3 wires going to power the full works up.
I have this for some ones handy work for the speaker wiring which looks like its been retrofitted Click image to enlarge Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back Success is 90% Inspiration and 4 minutes Preparation # you can make it! |

steve funny you should say that, the speaker loom that is shown, looks like its a second hand unit, so I will just replace it and solder the joins. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Don't blame you, definitely check the power feeds and that they are correctly fused.
If it's someone else's work and they didn't know what they are doing then you never know if it's fused! They obviousky avoided going any soldering so my guess is it's either DIY or a quick job by Halfords or similar place quite quickly. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

what ever they have done, looks like it may have done the interior light system. The radio would make a weird noise, and I am pretty sure it was what drained the battery.
Looks I will have some right old work to do, One project I had to change a full car loom due to someone's handy work! Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back Success is 90% Inspiration and 4 minutes Preparation # you can make it! |
