I grew up with Roger Moore but Daniel Craig is head and shoulders above the whole lot of them and that includes Connery. In the same way that Benedict Cumberbatch is the best Sherlock ever, period Smile

Agreed. I think Lotus must have been pretty scary when Chapman was alive, just see the documentary on F1 during his time. He built cars that were fundamentally unsafe, too much stripped away on the altar of power to weight ratio. When they flew they flew but he was too often the wrong side of dangerous, but drivers were commodities at that time. Difficult to judge that era fairly 40 years on.

I still want to drive to the Alps in an 87 Esprit Turbo with a ski rack on it. Imagine the snow chains on those Goodyear Eagle NCTs.....

That's a tough one. I think Daniel Craig was the result of the Bourne movies. Bonds producers needed a bit more grit after they watched them.

I actually like the Bourne movies the best. But the DC Bond films have been in a different class to their predecessors.

They sort of complement each other.

How much further would you like me to sit on the fence?

The BBC did a motor racing series called The Power and the Glory about 25 years ago. They interviewed one of the Lotus F1 mechanics who recalled Colin Chapman getting upset about a washer he had found on the car. Ever wary of weight he said that he didn't see why it was there, and that no washer was having a free ride on his F1 car!
Totally agree. Scary times, but he was an innovator.

Pierce Brosnan deserved a medal for attempting to sing on Mama Mia Shocked

Yes. Ok. I've watched it. I was forced to - and I'm a bit of a closet Abba fan.......

Sod it! Any street cried I might have had has vaporised.

Never seen Layer Cake, ginjez. Spend a bloomin' fortune on Sky. Might see if I can't find it on demand and have a gander?

Innocently (honest) I choose this to watch on a BA Flight from Cape Town to Heathrow o couple of years ago. Luckily it was an over night flight and most people were asleep. I know those airline screens are angled so the person(s) beside you can't see the film, but the people behind can!

Really good film on many levels Whistle
