I quite fancy doing the Route 500 sometime this year... Aug or Sept perhaps. Not so much off road mind you. It's a great route with loads of photographic opportunities... perhaps round it off with some off road action where we were in May?

Been thinking of it for a while

Just need a Defender now as sold my 90 last week to step up to a double cab My confidence has been writing cheques that my abilities can't cash for years.

Yes, the roof tent went last summer (after our trip up north)

Wish I had kept it as I know I will want one again Rolling Eyes

Trying to find the "right" dcpu , might have found one in Solihull
(Possibly one from a cust looking to sell also Thumbs Up )

It's a waiting game for the right one My confidence has been writing cheques that my abilities can't cash for years.

lol, I keep checking into this page as well.

I think its safe to say that it was a hit.

I know Chris has been really busy looking at his facebook feed so it may bea while yet before he or Ian has time to organise anything Smile

North West 500 might be an idea though, not offroading but could be fun non the less?

Hello,

I will be doing another event at some point (hoping 2018 but will see how things are progressing)

2017 has been a 'challenging' year in my full time job, interspersed with some serious 'highs' working on vehicle events for Mercedes-Benz and Porsche, as well as having a slightly epic trip with the 110 to Romania.

The upshot of this is that I have decided to return to being a full time self employed person, and concentrate on vehicle events and industrial safety.

One of the avenues I will be pursuing will be to organise more guided tours and 4x4/ATV and quadbike tuition- so please watch this space!

In addition.......if anyone needs a 4x4 driver, swiftwater and flood rescue, or confined space rescue specialist- you know where to find me.
