odb port
Hi all,
can anyone help explain why I seem to have two diagnostic ports? One is under the dash on the drivers side, where I expected but I seem to have another between the seats under where the plastic tray/cubby box sits. Now of they may be for entirely different purposes but I would like to know if i can connect an ultra gauge to either of them.

any advice appreciated
Thanks

Are you sure it's another OBD port ?

I thought that some wiring looms had a connector for a Sub woofer under the cubby box ?

Could a previous owner have moved the OBD port for security reasons? The one under the dash could be a dummy?

Sorry, might have blown a level of security on your truck Embarassed

Well i bet you are right re sub woofer. I only saw the "port" a year or so ago when i fitted the cubby box and sort of assumed that a big thick cable wirh a huge connector was a diagnostic port. I guess i was wring!
Thanks for the input, will have to cut a hole in the fuse fanel door after all

Could you not remove the obd port from the metal cradle and plug in the scangauge out of the way to prevent having to cut the dash? 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Grafty,
I looked at moving the port but i don't think there is enough room to put the box in. It is an ultragauge blue so a bit baulky. Also it migh be handy to be able to see the indicator lights and get at the button on it without having to remove the dash cover and retrive it from the depths.
Btw the ultraguage works well i just have to work out what all this extra info means.
Cheers
