G'day Gurus,
I am replacing my front cvs, flanges and half shafts with Ashcroft products. When replacing the cvs I need to change the oil seal to the supplied one. Unfortunately the manual states: 3. Drill and chisel off thrust ring taking care to avoid damaging stub axle. 4. Remove bearing and oil seal using special tool LRT-37-004 and slide hammer LRT-99-004. Ensure lip of tool locates behind bearing to drive it out. 5. Repeat instruction for removal of oil seal. As I don't have a replacement thrust ring (I can go an buy one on Monday but I would prefer to get it sorted now), is it possible to remove complete the process with out damaging any parts? I have found these thread do they apply to the Puma? http://www.aulro.com/afvb/technical-chatte...stion.html CV joint renewal - Land Rover Zone Thanks for your time. Regards Sav |
