Laurence, These are the ones I had in mine. In retrospect, if I was doing it all again I wouldn't buy them. They look awesome but they are extremely firm. The wings rub on the plastic panels on the side near the seat belts, I had issues with one of mine - the seat bases were replaced once and there was lots of play in the back adjustment mechanism which meant the driver's seat rocked about. When you add in the general ride of a Defender, I felt like I was on a rocking horse. Also, the seat bases are higher than the seat belt mounting next to the seat, so getting the seat belt in was extremely awkward, and the seat bases did not pull out like a Defender seat, so if you need access to the battery, even once a year, it's a total PITA as you have to remove the seat entirely. Most will say "It's only 4 bolts" which is true, but I found that lining up those 4 bolts and getting the seat just right in the cabin was a pain. My advice would be to buy the ones that LR put in the later cars, the high backs, LRI also sell them. Much comfier and fit better in the cabin. 2016 D4 HSE 1998 110 TUM HS FFR Hard Top XD WOLF 1982 Series 3 SWB Petrol |

Apologies, mine were the Corbeau style, the Recaro seats do not have the wide wings on them. 2016 D4 HSE

Thanks Adam I did wonder if that was the case when you decided to sell so soon after you put them in! I know it was the whole ride quality but the seats rocking about and being firmer couldn't have helped! Thanks for the heads-up on that 2010 Defender 90 HT The longer I live..... The better I was! |

My new Optimill quick release Boss just arrived from Will at LRD Security
https://www.landroverdefendersecurity.com/ IMHO its priceless piece of mind in terms of security This is the new quick release slimline Boss and is slimmer than my original unit which consisted of a Momo boss attached to the original LR boss. This is a new quick release detachable Momo unit & boss all in one so I was able to remove the other two, slip this new all in one unit on to the steering column spline making the steering wheel now sit much closer to the steering column, very close to its original position I would think. You can see from the pictures below how effective it is in terms of security anther layer!! And as an added bonus it now makes it much easier to clean the dash.... Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge The only downside to this is that you have to use the black Optimill center cap in the middle of the steering wheel!! I much preferred my silver Momo center cap. I'm going to see if I can modify the Momo cap to fit. But a small price to pay for a great layer of security.... Will is offering forum members a discount on this unit if you want one? Email him on the website above  Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated 2010 Defender 90 HT The longer I live..... Just ordered my next mod a 'heat deflector' which deflects the heat down on your feet rather than BBQ'in the side of your leg

Can I just say that I bought the heated leather Recaros from LRI Solutions last June and they are the most comfortable car seats I've ever sat it. They are fantastic seats and would recommend them to everyone. Mine do not rub against the side wall in my 90 and I have no problems with the seatbelt. They look pretty much identical to the corbeau seats but obviousy there is a difference in comfort and build quality. The Recaros do have removable seat bases also.
