Cable to connect Nanocom to 1998 300TDi 10AS immobiliser?
Has anyone managed to get a Nanocom to programme a 10AS from a 300TDi Defender?

At the moment my Nanocom is only unlocked for a Discovery 2 but if I was sure I could also programme the 10AS on my Defender I would buy the extra licence.

As far as I can tell the pre-TD5 Defenders don't have an OBD connector. If I could wire up a suitable cable to the immobiliser, in theory I would be able to programme key fobs and turn on the central door lock feature.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Any other low cost option to configure the 10AS would also be of interest.

Thanks --

I'm not familiar enough with the 300TDi to know if it still has an EGR valve.
My Disco does not have the EGR.

I'm not sure if this is relevant because as far as I know the immobiliser does not affect the EGR operation nor would it affect how I connect to the 10AS immobiliser.

So, if I had a TD5 wiring diag and follow the output from that pin to the OBD socket on a TD5 I might be able to work out my own cable.

I highly doubt the Nanocom would be able to connect properly, but for the cost of an extra licence you can send your 10AS off to be properly programmed, just the hassle of removing it.

Thanks for the reply.

I paid for the licence and tried it out. Works fine as far as I can tell. All the options appear but I haven't tried to change any yet.
Uses the standard blue cable I have for the TD5 Discovery. I worried unnecessarily, no modification needed.
