Which of the Forte additives did you use? Noticed they have quite a few on their website

Interesting.......
Haven't done the 2 stroke yet - but considering. I also whacked a shot of Forte Diesel Treatment (yellow cap) into mine earlier this week. Probably done 100 miles since and can't say I've noticed any difference yet. I was about to say that's coz mine is a 5 year old Td5 and yours is a shiney new Puma, but just noticed you running an 05 Td5 too.... Must admit, I wasn't expecting any blistering performance improvement as the forte I used says it's not a cetane improver, I was really just trying to look after the fuel system from the inside. Did you use anything different to what I did ? Edit - Sorry, just seen your second post.... same stuff as I used.... How odd..... Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless. |

Nope. Since I got mine, always had the issues TBH I expected with a Landy - pull a house sideways up Everest, but slowly....
Needle would get to 70, and then stop. Now......, well let's just say it is not as "reluctant". Seriously could not believe it - compare it with the Top Gear episode where Hammond drag races the clapped out transit, with the Jag engine. Been smiling all day. EDIT- It MIGHT be that my engine just needed a bloody good clean out - who knows.... 2001 TD5 110 DCPU in Bonatti Grey |

Have done about 300 miles now since Forte added.
Didn't get the almost instantaneous results of Daviec1 but I am now noticing a distinctly smoother sounding, quieter engine and as Daviec1 commented before a greater 'willingness' in the higher gears and less of a need to change down. No change to MPG - average 28-29 before and after treatment. Spoke to the Forte technical team about dosing frequency - didn't state on the bottle (maybe coz this not a retail product ??), and they advised every service or similar time/milage frequency . Mine was last serviced 2 months ago, but they said no problem to do it now and then again at next service. Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless. |

Only 60 miles since adding the Forte but I have instant results as well
Somebody stole the bag of spanners left in the engine, engine is much smoother and uptake is a lot better. So far so good, maybe it is getting rid of all the crud from the Shell fuel I used to use ? Bob |
