Adrian Flux arranged mine through Aviva - "110 County" is what is quoted on certificate - 2" lift, diff lockers and non standard 285/75 tyres all added at no additional underwriting costs. Took limited mileage option and could have had business use.....but starting again on NCD - 30% introductory was the best they could do

NFU will cover business, just not all businesses! They will cover for towing but not the load if its for hire or reward, or if its anything to do with the motor industry. 2011 110 USW

The local Swintons are losing our business to the NFU. In the next 4 weeks we have six policies due for renewal with Swintons. Sorry mate it is all going to the NFU!

It all depends on the local branch. NFU is mutual so all branches are franchises

Swintons did not even manage to get their business centre in Manchester to phone me regarding our business insurance with us. We pay £k in policies each year and they could not be bothered to talk to me??

Surprising they gave me their best price, guess what? Said was taking business elsewhere and another 15% come off premium!

So it al boils down to how good your local branch is and they change rapidly if the staff changes

So true about the variance between NFU offices. Aylesbury (I'd been with them via an LRO ad 9 years ago) eventually replied but showed little to no interest in quoting. Called my local branch and red carpet treatment. D300 HSE 110

DirectLine are one of the better insurers for sure. They don't give any cover for off-road or green lanes etc. - so no go for me. Simon

Same experience. My local branch are excellent, couldn't do enough for me, the level of cover as standard wiped the floor with everyone else. I am sure though the premium will hike up significantly in the second year Rolling Eyes I don't think I have ever stayed with the same company two years on the trot!

Had issues with ours too - three companies didn't have "XS" listed - they had HSE and other non Defender specs only. Muppets. Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion.
